 The Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Technology held the fifth international conference under the title Building, Construction and Environmental Engineering, in cooperation with Komar University in the city of Sulaymaniyah, in the presence of the representative of the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghaban, Assistant to the University President for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Farhad Muhammad Othman, and a group of faculty members from Department of Civil Engineering at the university.

Professor Dr. Farhad Muhammad Othman said in his speech that the Civil Engineering Conference is one of the important conferences in the engineering field, and that the exchange of ideas and projects between the participants in the conference will achieve many positive results at the scientific level and the development of these projects, especially the broad participation at the international level, thanking all those in charge and supporters. For this conference.
For his part, the head of the conference’s preparatory committee, Professor Dr. Hassan Hamoudi Jouni, stressed the thanks and gratitude extended to the presidency of the University of Technology for the unlimited support for holding this scientific conference, as today we are witnessing the start of the proceedings of the Fifth International Conference on Building Engineering, Construction and the Environment. We also extend our thanks and gratitude to the host of the conference, Komar University of Science and Technology. 
The head of the Civil Engineering Department at the University of Technology, Prof. Dr., summarized: Ali Majeed Al-Dahwi said that the current education system in the department is the semester system for grades two to four. The department has begun implementing the Bologna Path system, which focuses on student effort and prepares graduates for the work field by possessing skills that keep pace with rapid global development.
The first day witnessed three scientific lectures by professors participating in the conference.

 
 
 
 

 

The Honorable Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Ali Majeed Khudair, inspected the progress of the examinations for the preliminary study (morning and evening) for the first semester of the department’s students for the academic year 2023/2024.

Through his tour of the examination halls, the head of the department was briefed on the nature and level of questions through his intervention with the students, and the head of the department stressed that the students should adhere to the examination instructions and ensure that all amenities are provided that will provide an appropriate atmosphere to perform the examinations to the fullest extent, wishing them success and excellence. Oral examination for postgraduate students

On Tuesday, 12/26/2023, the oral exam was held for postgraduate students - PhD / Road and Bridge Engineering Branch, specializing in Road Engineering in the Department of Civil Engineering, in the presence of the Head of the Department, Professor Ali Majeed Khudair, the respected Professor and Professor. Makki Kamel Mohsen, head of the branch, and members of the five-member committee formed for the purpose of implementing comprehensive examination procedures for doctoral students, the graduate studies rapporteur in the branch, and supervising professors.
